OUR STORY

About

A documentary studio devoted to stories of people, faith, and meaningful work.

01WHY WE STARTED

Why We Started

Observable Space began with a love for filmmaking, but also with a conviction that stories can do more than simply entertain.

We believe film has the ability to help people see what they might otherwise overlook—to encounter another person’s life, understand a community beyond their own, and recognize the beauty and meaning present in ordinary moments.

We started Observable Space to create films that are beautiful without being empty. Stories made with intention, honesty, and care. Stories that preserve real experiences, give people a voice, and invite others to pay attention.

At its heart, Observable Space exists to tell stories worth remembering and to use filmmaking in service of something greater than ourselves.

02ROOTED IN FAITH

Rooted in Faith

Faith is at the center of Observable Space.

We believe our ability to create is a gift from God, and that the work we make should reflect the way Christ calls us to see and serve others—with dignity, compassion, humility, and love.

That conviction shapes not only the stories we choose to tell, but the way we tell them. We want to approach people honestly, represent their lives with care, and create work that points toward hope without manufacturing it.

Some of our films speak explicitly about Jesus. Others reveal faith through the lives, struggles, service, and perseverance of the people within them. In both, our purpose remains the same: to create work that honors God and helps others see His presence in places they may not have noticed before.

We want Observable Space to be more than a filmmaking company. We want it to be a ministry expressed through story.

03BEAUTY AS A STAPLE

Beauty as a Staple

We believe meaningful stories deserve to be told beautifully.

For us, beauty is not decoration added after the story is finished. It is part of how we invite someone to look closer—to notice a face, a landscape, a quiet moment, or a detail that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

We care deeply about cinematography, sound, pacing, color, and every small decision that gives a film its feeling. Not because we want style to overshadow substance, but because craft can help us communicate the weight of what is already there.

Our goal is to make films that feel cinematic without losing their humanity. Honest without feeling careless. Beautiful without becoming artificial.

Because the world is already filled with extraordinary people, moments, and evidence of God’s work.

Sometimes the filmmaker’s job is simply to help people see it.
